Viper Engineering & Manufacturing, LLC
Brian J. Gilbertson, an Air Force veteran, founded Viper Engineering & Manufacturing LLC as a Department of Defense contractor specializing in engineering and manufacturing services. In June 2025, Viper acquired Food Process Systems, Inc. (FPS).
All customer-facing services and operations continue to be conducted under the Food Process Systems and FPS names. Additionally, all key personnel and employees remain in place, operating out of the existing manufacturing facility in Lodi, Wisconsin.

Our Mission
At Food Process Systems, we design and build innovative, sanitary, and labor-saving solutions that help food producers operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Leveraging advanced technology and deep industry expertise, we deliver high-performance equipment for all food industries, including poultry, seafood, meat, dairy, snack, and packaging applications. We prioritize integrity and service above all, collaborating and communicating effectively to meet operational and financial goals with truthfulness. Our mission is to build lasting customer relationships and create long-term value for our partners and communities.

Food Process Systems is veteran owned and operated. All of our equipment is proudly MADE IN THE USA.

History
Since our founding in 1989, our focus has been providing innovative, problem-solving, Made-in-America equipment to food processors worldwide.
We take pride in knowing FPS equipment increases the safety, productivity and efficiency for food plant workers and contributes to the success of the companies that use our conveyors, breaders, applicators and graders.
Legacy Member
Jim Bakos
Jim started with FPS in the fall of 2002. He introduced FPS to vibratory conveyance in 2006. From there, they moved forward with the development of vibratory breaders, batter applicators and numerous other vibratory applications.


We Remember ...
Scott Rose
Scott Rose joined FPS in 1993 and remained a dedicated member of the team until his passing in April 2025. Over more than three decades, he played an instrumental role in shaping the company, serving as an engineer, General Manager, Vice President, and partner. Throughout his tenure, Scott made lasting contributions to FPS’s growth, stability, and performance. His work spanned equipment design, manufacturing management, and hands-on field support across both sales and service. His deep technical expertise and lifelong commitment to the food processing industry formed the backbone of our success. Scott’s absence is felt not only professionally, but personally as well. He was a kind, generous individual and a trusted friend to all of us at FPS. He will be deeply missed.
